Week 5 NFL Player Props

We have another glorious weekend of NFL football on deck, let's get some action down! I found plenty this week:

Devin Duvernay O 36.5 Rec Yds -114

Bateman is inactive, the Bengals hung 41 points on this Ravens team twice last year. They need to keep up. Yes, Duvernay is feast or famine, but he has no choice but to stack up the yards in this game. Andrews can't do everything...right?

Phil Hoffmann/Baltimore Ravens

Noah Brown O 34.5 Rec Yds -114

I guess I'm missing something here because he's cleared this with ease every single week so far. Ramsey is likely to cover Lamb and force targets Brown's way, plus Cooper Rush knows his time is running out and he'll look for his guy to run up some stats in possibly his final audition.

Terry McLaurin O 4.5 Rec -107 / O 60.5 Rec Yds -114

Good player, bad defense, Curtis Samuel just coming back from an illness. He's faced some tough defenses so far, plus his quarterback is Carson Wentz, which...yikes.

Despite this, he can put up numbers on the Titans secondary which is arguably the softest he's seen this year.

Chris Godwin O 59.5 Rec Yds -120

I know it's big, but don't be scared. Godwin has his way with Atlanta, averaging nearly 100 yards on 7 receptions in each contest. Nine games, nine touchdowns.

Last time it was 15 receptions on 17 targets for 143 yards.

I think he can get 60.

Tyler Lockett O 5.5 Receptions -115 / O 65.5 Rec Yds -112

Lattimore plus Metcalf equals more opportunities for Tyler Lockett. He's had 9, 9, and 6 catches in his past three games. It's the same with his yardage total, he's eclipsed 65.5 in those three games.

George Pickens O 42.5 Rec Yds / O 3.5 Receptions +140

Love that we get plus odds on this one, but it's because of the unknown. What I know is this: We saw a rookie take over at QB and lock on to Pickens. He got 7 targets in week 3 and then 8 last week. This is a developing situation that we can still capitalize on.

If you want to have some fun:

6 Receptions / 83 Rec Yds would pay +675 ($38.75 on a $5 wager)

TE Parlay:

Zach Ertz O 4.5 Rec / Dallas Goedert O 3.5 Rec +162

The yardage numbers are too close, and the odds on their receptions are too steep. This is why God made parlays. Both defenses struggle against the tight end position, and both players will be motivated by past events to show up.

Daniel Bellinger 20.5 O Rec Yds -106

This Packers secondary can cover the receivers the Giants trot out there, but there will be some short gains over the middle. Bellinger compares physically to the great Travis Kelce and the ball needs to come out quick.

Two receptions get us there.

Saquon Barkley 26.5 O Rec Yds

My logic is sound. One or both of these two will be nothing short of absolutely necessary to keep Dan Jones alive. See the logic above.

Also, see Saquon Barkley completely back to making top-tier professional athletes look like schoolchildren chasing a border collie. It's not even fair.

Dalvin Cook U 18.5 Carries -106

The Bears are not a tough opponent, Minnesota has capable backups, and the fourth quarter could very well be clean-up duty time. I could see O'Connell resting his star back and letting Mattison put some miles on.

Breece Hall O 11.5 Carries

The takeover is underway. Micheal Carter is a nice back, but he's not the alpha Breece Hall is. The Jets understand that, they drafted him to be the man, and last week they showed us by giving him the rock 17 times.

This number is a joke, I'm comfortable playing this up to 15 carries.

Nick Chubb O 90.5 Rush Yds -114

The Chargers cannot set the edge opposite Bosa, their overall edge run defense is pretty terrible. The Browns and Nick Chubb, that's all they do.

Chubb is a machine, but besides that, Njoku is likely to be negated by Derwin James in this game, the smart play is to just run the damn ball.

Best of luck in all your endeavors, gambling and otherwise!

7-4 last week bringing us to 11-9 on the season. Travis Etienne, try Travis Neveragain. JD McKissic? JD McKissmy...you get it.
